The Buy as You View trombone section recently spent a day at EdwardsUK@theValve in search of a new set of instruments. Under the watchful eyes and ears of Manager and Trombone Consultant David Holt, Chris, Paul and Andrew tried the numerous options available from Edwards before making their final choices.

Principal Trombonist Chris said, "With so many options available, it was important to use David's experienced and educated ear. It was remarkable how differently an instrument blows with a different kind of tuning slide, let alone the many different kinds of slides, bells and leadpipes. Throughout the day, I felt that I was being fitted with instrument rather than just being sold one. We were encouraged to go away for a couple of weeks and get to know our new instruments. I used mine for the premiere of the Hoddinott Concerto Grosso with the National Youth Brass Band of Wales. Also, for the first time in my playing career, I really needed the F attachment for the band's upcoming schedule. Thanks to theValve, I have an instrument that I am very pleased with."
